1. Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor was interested in dance from an early age and at the age of 15, he joined Shiamak Davar’s dance institute  as a student there, Shahid Kapoor appeared as a background dancer in the films Dil To Pagal Hai (1997) and Taal (1999) in which Shiamak Davar served as choreographer.

2. Dia Mirza

Former Miss Asia Pacific turned Bollywood actress Dia Mirza was seen as background dancer in South Indian films. She was seen in the song of the film ‘En Swasa Kaatre’. In the song, she played a background dancer.

3. Shushant Singh Rajput

When Sushant Singh Rajput Studying in Delhi College of Engineering, Rajput enrolled himself in Shiamak Davar’s dance classes. He featured as a background dancer in the Dhoom Again song of Dhoom 2 and in Ashwariya Rai’s performance at the closing ceremony of the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

4. Ranveer Singh

Before debut in yash raj film Band Baaja Baaraat. He worked as a background dancer in ‘It’s Magic’ song from Koi Mil Gaya and in ‘Bole Chudiyan’ song from ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam’.

5. Daisy Shah

At start of her carrier she worked as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya in films like Zameen and Khakee. She also worked as background dancer on song ‘Lagan Lagi’ in Salman Khan’s film ‘Tere Naam’.

6. Remo D’Souza

Remo D’Souza is a famous Choreographer in Bollywood films and music videos. At start of his carrier he worked as background dancer. He has worked as a background dancer for several songs including Meri Mehbooba from Shah Rukh’s Pardes.

7. Saroj Khan

The veteran Saroj Khan, who was the genius behind the ‘latkas and jhatkas’ of Madhuri Dixit, also started her career as a background dancer in Bollywood films. In the famous song ‘Aaiye Meharbaan’ from the Ashok Kumar and Madhubala film Howrah Bridge Saroj Khan was seen dancing in the backdrop dressed as a guy.

8. Arshad Warsi

Arshad Warsi entered in Bollywood as a choreographer but he also worked as background dancer in a song ‘Help Me’ from the film ‘Aag Se Khelenge’ alongside Jeetendra and Kimi Katkar.

9. Farah Khan

Farah khan best known for her choreographic dance work in numerous Bollywood films. At start of her bollywood carrier she worked as a background dancer in films. She was seen along with Govinda in the song Hum Hain Naujawan from the film Sadaa Suhagan.

Deepika Padukone is currently one of the biggest bollywood actress. She started her journey as a model and has also worked as a background dancer in bollywood film songs.
