The woman who shined on the night was the CMA Entertainer of the Year 2009 Taylor Swift who grabbed 5 out of 6 awards, she have won the titles: Artist of the Year, Female Pop Artist of the Year, and Country Album of the year. This year is the best year for the 19- year old Girl Taylor Swift who obviously got so many awards after she has been bashed by Kanye West.

Other awards were given to the King of Pop Michael Jackson who received the Pop male artist and Pop Male Album.

Adult Contemporary was Taylor Swift, Alternative Rock: Green Day, Latin: Aventura, Contemporary Inspirational: Mary Mary, and Soundtrack Album: “Twilight Soundtrack”

T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist Award: Gloriana, and finally International Award of Excellence: Whitney Houston
