Toyota Prius Recall Confirmed

February 10th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Technology

February 9, 2010 – It’s confirmed. Toyota Motor Co. will have a new recall on their top car models.

Yesterday, the Toyota Motor Sales announced that they will be having a voluntary recall again regarding safety issues of their vehicles. There are about 400,000 units of 2010 Toyota Prius vehicles and some Lexus HS 250h models.

Toyota Prius recall was brought by the potentially faulty brakes and safety issues. This made the top models in danger when it comes to braking mechanism. Toyota car problems seem not to end yet until these models are done fixing. These models were affected by the vehicle’s anti-lock brake system also known as ABS.

“We’re committed to doing everything we can – as fast as we can – to restore consumer trust in Toyota, and these recalls are part of this effort,” Jim Lentz, President and Chief Operating Officer, Toyota Motor Sales said. “We regret the inconvenience this recall will cause to Prius and HS 250h owners, and will do our best with the support of our dealers to make sure that it is conducted in the most trouble-free manner possible,” he added.

Toyota Lexus and Sicon are not involve in this recall. This is a separate case from the January 21 recall of several Toyota car models having accelerator pedal problems and the November 2009 recall with floor mating problems.
