Ethiopian Plane Crash at Lebanon Beirut
A recently reported plane crash occured when Ethiopian Airlines plane crashed into the Mediterranean Sea on Monday morning shortly after the plane took off from Beirut International Airport in stormy weather. Ethiopian fficials said that 82 passengers and eight crew members were on board.
The plane identified as Ethiopian Airlines Flight 409 — a Boeing 737 plane — had been scheduled to take off at 2:10 a.m. but it actually left at 2:30.
The 1,730-mile flight to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s capital, was scheduled to take 4 hours and 40 minutes.
“The site has been identified three-and-a-half km (two miles) west of the (coastal) village of Na’ameh,” Aridi told reporters at Beirut international airport.
Police officials ruled out terrorism as the cause of the plane crash and said it was likely weather-related. It has been raining heavily and lightning in Beirut since Sunday night. More details about this incident can be found here.

omg this is scary but i love beirut so much i want to go back and visit my family but not in an airplane
