First of all, Merry Christmas! People in the US are still looking for stores and shops which are open this Christmas day of  the year 2009. Some people are also rushing to buy more gifts to share this Christmas season. Unfortunately, not all regular stores are open this Christmas. But there will be some stores open this Christmas to serve people with their basic needs.

Some stores open on Christmas day 2009 are convenience stores which are regularly open 24 hours. These stores may operate on Christmas day but probably there will be reduction on the operating hours since it is a worldwide holiday.

Gasoline stations are also open on the Christmas day to serve those consumers travelling on the 25th of December. People do travel on this day to visit relatives or to spend this day somewhere else in the country with their families and loved ones. These stations may be open but some will not be fully operational.

There will also be some grocery stores open on Christmas day 2009. Owners would think about the needs of the people this Christmas especially the need for food so they will decide to open the stores to serve people and to take advantage of the demands of the people.
